Unfortunately I don't have any insight to offer. I would like to see the x-ray though. Best of luck with the situation

:Greetings all. I have just recently encountered my first egg bound crested. If anyone has come up against this, please advise. This female is approx. 3 years of age. Plenty of protein, calcium, etc. Has laid consistent clutches for the past three months. She laid one clutch 4/1 and a single egg on 4/28. From palpation I new she still had one inside. I thought I would give her some time, but she still had not dropped. I palpated approx. one week later to discover what felt like three eggs, one horizontally and two vertically. After consultation with my exotics vet, he concluded the same. After full x-ray, calcium, and oxytocin she still retains. I am going to treat again Monday with oxytocin and hopefully she will pass. Her drop date is quickly approaching so I'm just checking to see if some forum members may have been through a similar situation and can give me some insight on your course of action and if you had success or failure. I am going to have the x-ray scanned to post here for you all to see. It is a full body shot showing one egg (the others are not calcified)and maybe it can be of some use to members in the future. Is this a first? I'm sure Allen R., given the number of cresteds he maintains, might have info. I have not seen any info on Cresteds binding. If anyone has any insights I would greatly appreciate the help. Additional notes: Her calcium stores are good, feeding has been maintained and she has been seperated and kept at 78 degrees.

:Thanks,

:Galen
