Are you looking at just the Rhacodactylus species? I'm a year younger than you, and you have a heck of a lot money than I did when I first started out. If you want something 1-2 feet, then you would probably want a bearded dragon, uromastyx, or some other medium sized lizard. Check out the other boards too.
