do you think my crested got mites?

hi, today i wanted to weigh my gecko because i am starting to switch him to allen's crested gecko diet.
when i took him out, i noticed a dramatic change of colors. normally hi was sand-colored during day, and light orange during night, with a few black spots.
but when i took him out today, during daylight he was much darker, his throat was bright orange/pink, plus i noticed that he didnt only have black spots but red spots too. and because of the red spots i am very concerned if he has mites.
