To awnser your question most reptiles follow Classic Mendalolian(sp) Genetics, punnet squares ect, while crested geckos have polymorphism where there color and pattern is more or less random. pretty sure i got it all but other crested might enlighten you deeper in the mysteries of polymorphism.
