12 months is too soon. It also depends a great deal on the individual animal. For some it could be up to 18 months. However at 14 months if they have good weight and size there should be no problem. Early and frequent breeding (year after year after year) can result in unhealthy hatchlings and shorter life spans. So just use your best judgment. Good Luck.
