Hello all,
I have a question about one of my male cresties. I made a post about two weeks ago asking if people thought my crested was sick. I have come to the conclusion that I do not know if he is or not. I now have three cresteds two males and one female. When I got the second male I kept him in a separate cage and was looking for a female for him. However, my original male who I thought was sick has continued to be very "relaxed" basically moving only every three-four days and eating small amounts. He does not seem to be losing any weight, but there is a pronounced difference in activity between him and the other two at basically all hours of the night, including 2 or 3 am. I e-mailed Garrick at crestedgecko.com and he thought that maybe the female was stressing him somehow, so I switched him and the other male. This does not seem to have changed anything with him and now he is on coconut bark and burrows in and disappears for two or three days and nights. The other male on the other hand got straight down to business and is permanantly attached to the females side,(I expect to have eggs in a few weeks). I am just looking for opinions on what people think is up with my original male is he sick, just mellow, or what? Sorry so long and thanks for any help.
