Hi Tom, Since Cresteds are Nocturnal, it is best to feed them at night. I usually feed them at dusk. (I know when i first wake up i am pretty hungry so i figure after sleeping all day they must be hungry too.) But it really doesn't matter when at night since they are active till the sun comes up. Hopes this helps.
