Although you might never see your rhac use a waterdish, inactuality most of us don't see 90% of what our rhacs actually do. Most of their action is a night, so it's hard to make a basis on what little activity we see.
The rant aside, I always leave a decent size waterdish in with all of my rhacs, and have seen the most recognition of the standing water from my leachianus. My gargoyles show no interest in the water, but it adds some piece of mind for me as well as some extra humidity, if nothing else. Another reason to keep a water dish in the enclosure is for that odd day where the temperature might rise without you noticing. That actually happened yesterday, as when I came home, my leachianus enclosure was almost 90F, and I found my male leachie cooling off with his whole body soaking in the water.
Basically, yeah, I use a water dish.
Good Luck, Happy St. Paddy's day, don't disgrace us Irish, treat yourself to a Guiness. lol ;)
