That is my issue with them. They are really hard to see in. We have two. One is currently empty and the other has a juvenile bearded dragon (about 100 grams). She has been growing fine in the couple of months she has been in it. She seems to like it and sometimes climbs on the sides. I don't think that will work when she is an adult! :-)
We had two Northern Water Snakes in the other until they died. They got this blister disease that is really common for their species in captivity so I know it had nothing to do with the cage. My son is a Junior Curator at our state Natural Sciences museum and their Northern Water snakes keep getting it too. These are really active snakes, and I hated not being able to see them clearly.
I really like the glass cages better.
