How can you actually tell if your system is humid enough for the gecko. I got plants and everything essential but i get the feeling its not humid enough becuase it is a screen top and the tank has no ventilation and also can someone explain to me how plants in a screen top tank actualy help raise humidity??

i got 2 baby cresties and they are damn kool except they're not eating and one doesnt hide in his hide i gave him (arrrr)
oh yeah one more thing, where do you guys place the geckos hide?
mines on the ground and dont know how to get it to be near the top of the tank (suspension trings of some sort??)

thnx to all who has answered and thnx in advance
