A few of my cresteds do the same thing when they are hunting. I've also seen many different geckos from house geckos to leopards to tokays do the same thing. I think its kind've like the defensive snake tail rattle maneuver...it shows excitement and aggression...but is pretty much useless. A vestigial instinct if you will


:In the presents of the male crested gecko. I will see her wiggle her tail when he approaches her. Just wondering why
