For my geckos, I like to use a mixture of Rep-Cal's calcium/D3 supplement with Reptivite. Reptivite is a great supplement, but only if mixed with a calcium/D3 supplement. The reason: there is more vitamin A in Reptivite than D3. To much vitamin A in relation to D3 can cause an imbalance in the diet. Even if you offer lots of D3 ad calcium, more vitamin A than D3 in the diet can lead to problems with clacium metabolism, especially in young geckos. By mixing the two supplements, you correct the imbalance. Make sure any supplement you use contains more D3 than A. Read labels.
Of course, you could just use Cricket Dust, which (last time I checked) is properly balanced and less expensive.
