In Reply to: im open to suggestions too, using the same tank 40B posted by Dave A. on February 20, 2003 at 20:42:05:
::well, i decided i want to make a cage to display in my house, as i find my crested cages fake plants very unsightly.
::anyway, my idea was to make an elevated nest box, that way you could get to it without knocking things over. Is it a good idea? or would the female just put the eggs on the ground?
::i also wanted to start using live plants, any suggestions? i am using a 40 gallon breeder tank, which is about 2.5ft wide, and 1ft tall and 1ft deep.
::I also am going to put in a waterfall, but i am not sure how to make one, so i may just buy one.
::As for what the cage will look like, i want to have the waterfall in 1 corner, live moss on the bottom. Since the cage is only 1ft tall, i want to put some plants that look good, and are bushy enough for the geckos to hide in. The type of plants is what i need help with. I have no clue what type to use. Please give me some suggestions. thanks in advance
