Both of my gargoyles are doing well and are nice and fat from just eating crickets. I've never really tried any other solutions, but Bobby Pruett outlines one for getting them to eat baby food. You have to use flightless fruit flies, and I haven't had the time or interest in trying this method, so I can't vouch for it's ability to help. I've added the link at the bottom, and make sure to tell us if you come up with any solutions.
