No I did not get a fecal done. How much should a fecal cost? The places near me want like $20+ for a single fecal. I'd have to have a fecal less than 24 hours old, right? And can they do a fecal from dry poop, I guess they'd have to. I've only tried banana and peach, I've tried adding bee pollen and I've also tried giving them royal jelly. I got my female and juvie from Phil Tremper at Daytona, and both eat crickets well. The breeder the male is from fed both crickets and babyfood 50/50.
Anything else? I'd really like to get this guy fat soon. Also, how old are everyone's females they breed? When can most females start. Some say a little over a year, some say 2 years as minimum.
:Did you get a fecal done just to see if it was parasites? You really should never administer meds when you don’t need. They can dehydrate and possibly stress out the animal. Anyway have you tried other baby foods besides just peach and banana? Try other nectar fruits such as pear, mango, guava and papaya. Our aurics totally devour them. You can add a little bee pollen also to try and stimulate him to eat. Don’t even bother with the crix very few will take them. Just add meat baby food in a ratio of 1:2 (meat to fruit) otherwise he won’t get enough protein to grow properly. Hopefully he will take these other fruits more readily. Good luck.
