Yeah, the DNR will take away any raptor if you dont have permits. Hopefully they returned the bird to the nest but you never know. Red-tails will not, or atleast should not, eat hotdogs. :How old exactly are you? I will be fifteen in may. I have been absessed with red-tails since I was about 6(When ever Animorphs came out). You are now my Idol. Three years ago we found a red-tail nest by our feilds. The 4H office told us we could put hot dogs out to feed them. One day when we went to take some down we found a chick on the ground. We took it home and the DNR took it away. I have never been so heart broken in my life.
