all the stuff that they cant feed to people. dead, decaying, or diseased animals. hoofs, tails, gristle, bone, etc. plus dyes and fillers such as corn and wheat. the cheaper the dog food, the more fillers. i used to feed my rats and mice really really cheap dog food.
