Okay I happened to have off work today, so I took the opportunity to post pics of the new guys and tell you how the show went. We had a really good location for our table and some really nice neighbors including turtlehomes.com. A great bunch of people who put all their money and time into rescuing turtles and torts. So we bought a nice welcome sign to help their cause. Anyway on sat Tracy setup and managed the table all morning with our good friend Keats and one of her friends (thank you sooooo much!). I arrived around 1 because I had to take care of something for work. We only sold 4 animals that day, but like Ian heard we are picky with whom they go to. At the end of the day we packed everyone up and brought them home so they could sleep in their own beds or branches ratherlol. A lot of vendors left them there over night, fortunately though we do not live that far.
Sunday I brought the little guys in and set everything up. Tracy arrived later around 2. Sunday was much better for everyone; there were tons of people! I got to see some good friends and meet new people. By noon we only had 3 animals left. Generally we were happy with the sales. We sold to some great families who we know are going to spoil our guys rotten, esp you Starmom=)! We sold one more before the day ended. So over all we did pretty good. There was a lot of variety at the show, however nothing to amazing. The summer shows tend to be better IMO.
Of course we did not leave the show empty handed..
This is the PI leachie I picked up from PMherps. Isnt he/she cute!! Hard to believe it will grow up to be the largest gecko in the world. We named it magoo (Tracy thinks they have Mr. Magoo faceslol). I plan on getting another and hopefully I will end up with a Mr. and Mrs. Magoo =).
I know it is not a rhac, but still adorable. Tracy picked this little P.ornate from a friend of ours. Let me tell you this guy is TINY and fast too. Gonna be a real looker when it grows up.
These two cute little buggers we had to help. Their tails were all kinked up, and one had shed stuck all over its body. I spent a good while getting it off last night and hand feeding them some fruit/meat mashes. Needless to say they look much better this morning, but still need some work. So we will raise them up, put some weight on them, and find them good homes.
Anyway thats about it, going to use my time wisely and clean some of the empty cages out..lol.
