UTH’s are more designed for terrestrial animals not arboreal. I know some have stuck them to the side of the cages, but I feel there is little benefit from that. Most UTH get way to hot anyway for that close of contact, they are supposed to be under a few inches of substrate. The best way to heat arboreal is with overhead heat, such as ceramic heat emitters, lamps, or heating the entire room.
