A humid hide is just a hide box with a high percentage of humidity. Crested geckos will retreat to it if they desire the conditions, such as before shedding or egg laying. It also stimulates a burrow for other reptiles. They are really simple to build. All you need is a plastic container. Cut a hole either on top or the sided large enough for your gecko to fit through. Then add a substrate that will hold moisture well. I find coconut husk or peat moss work the best.
