:Perilte can be very deceiving, and you should go against your instinct about adding more water. When fist mixed the granules usually clump together, but in a few days they all loosen up. Since you have no holes you should not need to add water during the entire incubation period. About once a week open the container slightly to allow gas exchange. If you feel it is too dry, you can add a tablespoon or two of water around the edges midway through incubation (30 days or so). Most likely though you have done things correctly and are just having your first time breeding jitters =). Since she is exploring her next box, she should be laying any day now. So check that box every morning, you just might find some eggs for Xmas =).
