My geckos died a while back (male and female) and for a while we thought it was because the female was egg bound. But the male was a mystery. He was perfectly healthy, then crashed. Well, my dad got the lab reports, and it is quite interesting. He had hepatitis (inflamed liver) pnemonian, VERY low sperm count, blood clotting, and a whole bunch of other stuff. They say it looks bacterial, but they need to do a culture. they said all this stuff came on veryu fast. My dad says (im not quite suire how to read the reports) that he caught it from the female, who was never that well off. I can post the whole report if anyone wants. But my dad says we just bought infected geckos (well, one, but he caught it) i didnt quarintine them becasue i thought that they would have been in the same cage @ LLLreptile, but now that i think about it, probably not. This is only a brief description. So it sounds like a bug just moved through his system. Sorta a relief, knowing that it wasnt husbandry! I feel a little better. Once againif anyone wants the report, just post.
