In Reply to: what is a normal ratio for yoghurt to baby food? n/p posted by jff on December 03, 2002 at 09:15:57:
I really don't know if there's a 'normal' ratio, since not many people use it, but I can tell you what I do.
It all depends on the gecko...
If he's eating bugs and fruit, I just use the yogurt once or twice a week, maybe 50% of the fruit mixture.
If he's not eating bugs, or very hesitantly, I use more yogurt, more often, to supply some protein - approx. 3-4 times a week, more yogurt than fruit in the mix, possibly as much as 2/3 yogurt.
For breeding females I offer plain yogurt once a week, as well as mixing it 50/50 with fruit once or twice a week.
I always make sure they have fruit available, but only with yogurt as stated, other times it's plain fruit. They also get bugs 2-3 times weekly, depending on age and breeding season.
