Ive noticed that the aurics will poop as a defence mechanism. If i wake them to look at them they will almost always poop. However i noticed that if i wait to handle them until they are awake...then they will be much calmer and will not poop on my hand.

I also found a good trick is to wait to handle them before you feed them..
