I have both leos and Gargoyles.
I think Gargoyles make really decent pets. They can stay at room temps (70-80) - and eat fruit baby food and insects. They need some misting - but I find them very docile.
Actually - my children like cresteds better than gargoyles - I think it's because cresties have that goofy look on their mugs and they jump a little more.
There are a number of good breeders of aurics here on this forum. I have personally done business with 2 of them - Eric Yip of EJY herps and Allen Repashy of Sandfire Dragon Ranch. I can tell you that they are both decent people and good breeders of rhacs.
(Oh yeah, I guess I would consider myself one of the good guys too - but that's just one man's opinion - LOL)
Good luck bud.
