Is my female too small to have a clutch even at 14 months?

My female is 6 1/4" and my male is 8". I won't be breeding her until she is 14 - 18 months. Right now she is 8 months. I am worried that she may be too small to breed even later in her life because she won't grow that much more if any. Another reason is that my male is so much bigger and hardier than her. There is 1 3/4" between them. Should I consider purchasing a new female or trading to someone who isn't interested in breeding? or just wait and see if she grows.
I know that females tend to be smaller, but THAT small I don't know. Remember I DON'T plan on breeding her now. I am just concerned about her safety....because I just couldn't picture her popping out like 1" eggs if you know what I mean.

What are your thoughts?????
Thanks for your help.
Liz
