I read recently (somewhere online, soory not sure where...) that if you go to Grand Terre (New Caledonia) seeking Cresteds during the day, you look under fallen leaves on the forest floor and on tree trunks and inside bushes during the evening. So i think sleeping in the substrate is probably very normal and healthy daytime behaviour.

:Is this normal?
