We use critter keepers on babies and juvies and then ease them up to large rubbermaids or tanks as large as 22 gallons in a tall orientation. No substrate is best IMO since they can find their food better. You can put a small pile of sphagnum peat moss in the corner if you have a humidity problem in the winter but mostly humidity shouldn't be an issue if you mist the cage lightly every day. I do have hiding areas for the geckos but a lot tend to sleep in the leaves. We use washed silk pothos vines (available at Michael's or the Rag shop)and cleaned branches as climbing areas. Cresteds can and will drink from shallow water dishes so it is good to have clean water always available. We also alternate pureed nectar fruit days but feed gutloaded and dusted small crix to our juveniles almost every day. We also eventually trained our adult cresteds to eat their crickets out of large bowls. Hope this helps you! Trace
