In Reply to: Anyone mix Honey into their Baby food? posted by Lyn on September 21, 2002 at 18:43:19:
:I feed my young Cresteds mostly crickets, but put a small lid full of Peach or Apricot Baby food which they will taste. They've never actually finished it, I just find little tongue marks (sometimes footprints) in it in the morning. I just purchased my first adult (Winky) and was told the pet store has been mixing non citrus baby food with honey and non citrus fruit juice and Zoo Med powdered Day Gecko Food. They offer this every night and mix in Calcium with Vitamin D twice a week. I put a lid full of Apricot baby food in with Winky the first night and the next morning it was spotlessly clean. I was thinking of adding the Honey but wanted to see if anyone else had done that and if there were any pros/cons to it. I don't have the powdered Day Gecko food either. Would that be good to mix in? She is eating dusted crickets too. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
