Robert,

R. auriculatus tend to have periods when they don't eat as much. Most people work with R. ciliatus prior to working with this species and always comment that their eating habits are different than their cresteds. I actually feed all of my R. auriculatus about 65% crickets (gut-loaded) and 35% other (baby food, mashed fruits, various concoctions). I've noticed that R. auriculatus goes through a "lanky" stage (gecko adolescence if you will). They tend to bulk up after a year or so.
