Are Cresteds messy?

Recently I went to a fairly successful herp dealer here in So. Cal. to get a Crested and he said he no longer dealt with them because they were too messy, that he spent every morning scraping feces off the glass in their enclosures. He really tried to discourage me. Is this true? Are they that messy?
