:How many times a week should I use calcium / vitamins?
Typically, it is best to use a calcium/vitamin mixture once a week on crickets, and to add some vitamins to a babyfood mixture provided for the animal. I keep two babyfood mixtures prepared, one with calcium mixed in with a beef formula for added protein and a separate fruit mixture with two kinds of fruit, vita-sol liquid bird vitamins, calcium powder, nekton, honey, herptivite, and water for consistency. I give this mixture once a week to males and twice to three times a week to females and babies. If you are not planning on breeding your female, then dont worry about overcalcification of the eggs...which is a real problem with too much calcium in the diet. Keep in mind that juveniles and cycling females need more calcium than older males...
