I have never heard of such a thing, and i am def gonna have to say no on doing it. Geckos or any reptile do not smell(unless they musk you but thats a different story). If they smell then its do to poor husbandry methods, such as the cage being dirty. A dirty cage makes a dirty smelly gecko. On a side note i have found that silk plants tend to hold odor(from all the feces), and since your gecko hangs around on them, he gets the same odor. However if you clean your cage on a regular basis you will prevent any smells.-Mike
