::this is why it is always good to see pics of the adults when purchasing a baby. A retic hatchling looks entirely different 8 months down the road as far as coloration goes. Yellowheads especially take time and food to start filling in the head and ventral color, but the same still applies to all the retics I have seen grow up. It is often hard to tell a yellowhead from a silverhead or standard when they are hatched. My collection of adults is due for updated photos, I just need a nice day off without rain, but then again that is Ohio.
