My retic was a problem eater when I got her. I had to pull all kinds of tricks out of my sleeve to get her to eat at first. After the first dozen feedings or so, it was never a problem again. She quickly moved to rats and it was the same for rabbits. She easy made the switch without any hesitation. However, she will not eat birds. I've offered her a chicken, a pigeon (with a broken wing) and other birds here and there...she will not eat them. She just looks at me like I've lost my mind.
