There have been a few stories every year for the past few years that have caught my eye. Burms, retics, and Afrocks have escaped and killed and eaten pets. They've been released and have eaten free wandering cats, dogs, and wildlife. One tragic story a couple of years ago told about an Afrock that was left in an unsecured enclosure and after escaping constricted and killed the young son of the house. www.baskingspot.com archives many news articles for our information- unfortunately many have been doctored up for sensationalism or blown out of proportion outright as has been pointed out. :Have you ever heard of a retic getting out of its enclosure and killing/eating the family cat/dog/neighbor...? Just curious.
