I never praised cypress mulch. Though I do remember one or two other people singing the praises of it a few months ago. I use only newspaper. And I don't think there is such a thing as "cutting down on maintenance". When they poop or pee we should clean it immediately regardless of the substrate. I don't think deeper more absorbant bedding justifies leaving it for longer. Just my humble opinion. But I always use newspaper and always will. It's convenient and makes for a more germ free environment. If you can only get to your snakes one day out of the week you should get someone to help you care for them. If you have all retics then I would suggest leaving soak tubs in their cages. Retics usually defecate and urinate in their soak tubs and this is easy to dump and clean.

:I remeber you praising cypress mulch as a great substarte does it really do a good odor job doesit cut down maitnence im in college and im lucky to get to my sankes on the weekend is cypressmulch worth it?
