Notah suggested for me to use peroxyl awhile back on my guy. This stuff works great and is safe. It is a mouth rinse that will clean and keep it from getting infected. You can get it at the local grocery store or walmart, etc.

Do that with the neosporin. Nolvasan is ok, but I really prefer this. I have used nolvasan numerous times, but the peroxyl is much better. And it leaves your snakes breathe winter minty fresh! LOL

If is gets worse, it may be time to break out the real meds. Just keep an eye on it
