I have three red ear sliders i bought at one inch in size, after about two months two of are growing and one not much, i noticed one day there was a white clear something the small one was defacating i pulled him out and pulled on it and i came out of it fairly easy and was about a foot long my first thought is it a tapeworm and looked for something in the pet shops to get rid of it i remember rid worm but it was discontinued and couldn't find anything else not long after that i seen one of the bigger ones had it coming out of it does anybody know if they are tapeworms and is it harmfull for the turtles if they dont get rid of them and how can i stop them from getting them again, somebody it could have been from feeding live fish. sorry so long any info would be appreciated.
