::Ok, My two cents here... Most of you know by now. I prefer using the Magnum 350 series canister filters.. Why, they are much easier to use and clean. They are a forced media type system where the Eheims are a flow through. I am not against the Eheims...I own two pro systems...However, they are both sitting in my attic. I just find them to be harder to use and not as efficient as the Magnums...As to the heater question... For the money I would go with a titanium heater over any other...Shatter proof..Bite proof..and all controls are out of the tank easy to get to.. Hope this helps somewhat...

I have the Magnum Pro System...350. It is running on two different tanks...One is a 200g the other is 55g. I depends on the size of the RES...My adult breeders are in a 3500g pond filtered by a Hayward Sand Filter...Complete with a 50W UV sterilizer. Hope this helps...
