I agree Linda...We charge an average of $90.00 for this procedure.. I does vary depending on the extent and the species. My guess would be this vet does not do this very often and is trying to compensate for her efforts.. Look around before you commit...How much damage can an abcess cause...Well, it is an infection and would be best treated...The longer it goes the harder it is for the turtle to recover. The incision is always left open to allow for drainage. If it were closed before it dried up...The procedure would be in vain...Hope this helps....
