My more active turt, Kiwi, just started doing a new trick 5 min ago. He is sitting on the ramp at the same level as the basking spot, and just opens his mouth and closes quickly to create a string of bubles at the water surface. Just like what kids do in a bath tub or swimming pool. The bubbles are not coming from the nose, and he doesn't breathe with his mouth open either. He only does it at that spot and seems to enjoy it tremendously. Creating bubbles and popping them... :-)
Just wanted to make sure that this is normal turtle behavior. Thanks!
