new turtle and travelling

I dont know if this was the right way to do it or not but when I adopted my turtles they came to me shipped in a wet sock with the ends tied.. THis kept the turts from dehydrating and also kept them from escaping. They were in route for 3 days even with over night shipping.. Wyoming has no such thing for hte most part lol.. Good luck!!
