Is the window open all the time because if not the UVB is not
getting through. As far as the algae, the sun exposure is
causing it. Try moving it so only 1/2 of the aquarium is
exposed. I would be very careful about leaving it in the direct
sun due to possibility of overheating the turtles. If the
window is closed, your turtles are not getting UVB and you
should be using the UVB tube.
