I think cork "bark" makes a great basking spot for turtles. All you have to do is wedge it between the glass panels of your tank.
:It does rot after time and molds too. But what I do is every week I put it in the sun to dry off completely. It takes awhile but seems to do the job.
:I am making some changes in my RES tank, and am wanting to change from a rock basking platform to a large cork slab/log. Got a few questions...does the cork tend to rot at all over time, and what are good ways to anchor it to one location in the tank? (I was thinking of fixing it across one end.) And where are good locations to buy large cork? What online or chain stores (i.e. Petsmart, Petco, etc.) carry decently sized cork? I haven't seen much so far. Thanks guys!
