Shedding is normal, your turtles are getting bigger, the flakes that come off should be transparent and usually the whole scute comes off, the new shell underneath will be the same dark color and hard not soft bloody or discolored.
Now for the eyes, it is totally normal for basking sliders to have wet eyes, their eyeballs need to stay lubricated when they are out of water (you don't want their eyelids scraping on the eyeballs)...just like how humans have tear drops.

:Yeah I was going to ask that question too. My turtle maya is basking for about 7-8 hours a day and her eyes tend to get watery and her shell gets peeling. I know she is shedding but her eyes? Thanks :)
