For a 150 or 180 gallon tank you'll probably need two canister filters. I would recommnend two filstar XP3s. People really like the eheim canister filters but in my opinion they are rather expensive and the filstars seem to be doing a great job for me. Do you have a whole tank picture of your 55 gallon tank?
The current setup, though its not noticable there is a large cave under the basking area. My pleco's home! This is currently a 55 gallon with three hatchling res making it home also a reeve is in here. Current plan is to move up to 150-180 in next few months. Looking for recomendations on Canister filter? A 2000 gallon outdoor pond for the summer is currently under construction, should be ready for next summer. Basically a big hole in the ground now. What we do for our turtles
