turtle shell growth

I've had my turtle for a year now, and i think that he is growing too fast and his shell is starting to pyramid. His scutes are raised in the middle, and his spine is a little bumpy. I always have a piece of cuttlebone in his tank for him, and he's been eating it pretty quickly. I've been feeding him 10 baby reptomin pellets a day for a few months, and a piece of apple, carrot, or lettuce a few times a week. What should I be feeding him so he's healthy?
