Not likely. Anacharis is a good food, but not a perfect food. Feed a VARIETY of aquatic plants. BTW, the snails that are often found on the plants are healthy food too. No need to wash them off. Their shells are almost 100% calcium. But the poster was right that you can easily grow your own aquatic plants. Just use a variety, not just one kind.
