Do you have a submersible heater to keep the water warm...you'll need one to stimulate growth and digestion...offer boiled chopped shrimp coated with calcium powder no turtle can resist this...if you are concerned about the turtle's health you should ask your friend for some money and take it to the vet...okay so your turtle's are mating...you'll end up with eggs and babies so consider adopting one of them out to a new home...the female is usually the bigger one with short nails, the male has longer nails and longer tail

:The boring part first -- read on for the spicy part...

:We've had a RES for about 2 years. A friend, unable to care for her RES, gave us another. She told us that her turtle had not eaten in a while. When we brought her here, we gave her (and she didn't eat) turtle pellets (ReptoMin), small fish, lettuce, fruit, and she FINALLY ate a hot dog; however, she ate only one piece of the hot dog.

:We are very concerned as she has not eaten much in a few weeks. Any suggestions??

:Now....we put the new RES in a tank with our RES for the first time. The new turtle started to climb on our RES's back. We thought, "Ohhhh...How cute!" Well, the little one flipped her tail underneath her and started a....ummm...uhh...probing motion. The little one kept noising around in that area. Please let me know what all this is about!

:HELP!?!!?
